Born This Way even tho its a good album. Easy On Me was still at #1 months after 30 came out.

BTW definitely, the whole era was already forgotten by the end of 2011.

That's a bigger crowd than Katy's Vegas audience these days.

BTW: Top 10 - 6 weeks, 1.1M debut with 2.4M sold in the end (~50% first week)

Adele: #1 x 6 weeks, 14 weeks top 10, 850k debut with 2.6M sold in the end (~33%)

30 - 88 on Metacritic, Born This Way - 70s

Born This Way,i wouldn't know this album exists if it wasn't for atrl so it's totally forgotten

at least both albums have huge GLOBAL hits, not everyone has that for example Taylor since 2014

30 and it ain’t even close. Also, to the OP - 30 is Adele’s 4th album (19, 21, 25).

BTW only spent 6 weeks top 10 despite a 1M+ debut

30 hasn't even been out for a full year and spent like 15+ weeks in the top 10

TEOG was rush-released as a promo single after debuting at #3 and showing great potential. None of 30's tracks other than the 2nd single debuted inside the top 10 or showed any kind of potential later on, so they didn't release a follow up single for a reason.

BTW ~4.3m US units
30 ~2.6m US units

At the time, it ended up with like 2M+ in the US, it's easy to use SPS from the last 10 years to cover it up :dies:

OT: BTW easily

30 felt way more frontloaded. Plus it had no tour and only two singles.

Yeah I put “third project after breakout success”

Somehow it’s 30. Which says a lot about how underwhelming its performance is, since BTW was undeniably the prime example of frontloaded MPG albums.

what about reputation from taylor? red was her global breakout pop album, then she became even bigger with 1989 and then she fell off with reputation, with a lead single even more frontloaded than eom and btw, and a drop in sales overall. i think reputation is the real frontloaded album

30. BTW was lucky the era last at least 1 year due to multiple top 10 singles like TEOG and YAI.

30 and it's not even close. At least BTW is somewhat relevant during Pride Month and the era gave us some of the most iconic moments in pop culture, 30 has really no memorable/iconic moments that stand out or make people say "Hey, remember when Adele..." but yeah, both were massively disappointing  :foxaylove2:

The discounted copies made it seem like it was frontloaded, without them, week 1 pure copies 650k, total pure copies 2.5m. It did more than well, was one of the biggest albums of 2011 in the US and WW where it ended up only behind Adele's 21 so keep trying it :dies:

BTW. 6 weeks in the top 10 is already tragic for any album but for a 1M debuting album it's catastrophic

reputation has charted for 214 weeks so far (#73 this week) and ranks among the 20 longest charting female albums

30 by far lol. ATRL stays delusional.

Albums are literally serving more longevity on charts in the streaming era and yet 30 still collapsed and fell under BTW. Not to mention that BTW also held up much better outside of the US. Yall can cry about its 1M debut forever but nothing is gonna change facts.:rip:

reputation has had a far better chart run than BTW and has much better longevity and more remembered songs

Don't Blame Me is still pulling 1m streams a day (more than any Lady Gaga song) 5 years later and it wasn't even a single :skull:

You wish, reputation hasn't left the charts since it got released five years ago :foxaylove2: and its one of the longest charting female albums OAT + her streams are pretty healthy. Besides, what has Taylor to do with this thread anyways? OP didn’t mention her in any moment :lmao:
