She’ll be fine. She’s too busy living her life, traveling, enjoying the mom life while still stacking millions. She’s got it pretty damn good if you ask me. I’m sure she’ll release an album sometime next year.

But she has been releasing music consistently.

yes 1-2 songs per year is consistently releasing music, why you guys acting like she disappears like Rih, Lorde or Adele.

 

Gaga have been consistently active in music landscape as well.

This. And it's not even in a shady way. I love Katy's old hits & I'd love to see her on tour if she came to Europe. But after Witness & Smile, I'm not interested in new music from her. Both those albums aged like milk & if we got another studio album, it would just be the exact same!

She has zero good albums (literally, her best one has the same Metacritic score as Artpop, which is considered a major failure for Gaga), why keep trying, tbh? Not every major 2010 artist is gonna continue to release music frequently.

well her catalogue is aging veryyy well so she's more than fine. 

i've just read here that capitol invested on her old catalogue? for it to age better? it's true that it increased a lot in streams since she's started her residency. 

i find it a very smart move after witness and smile! 

if she can't get new hits, she'll make her successful work memorable! 

she has a surprisingly HUGE numbers of monthly listeners on spotify for someone that doesn't have a new hit for so long 

maybe it's better this way and it also manages her to focus on her family. 

 

most artists signed to major record labels can't just release whenever they want to; their label has to give them a schedule to which they have to adhere.

her label most likely doesn't see the demand or point in spending a bunch of money to let her release another album.

if she wanted to, she could pay for it all herself, but katy's not really an artist so i doubt that'd ever happen.

She is in her fixing her image era. Like gaga from artpop to a star is born

she just gave her all in the smile era .. a break is granted 

Do y'all not understand the concept of "return on investment"?

 

Why would she invest all that time and money into making and promoting new music when all of her income comes from her old music and other endeavors. And it will only hurt her brand / solidify her status as a flop when the new record makes no noise.

 

It would be a complete waste of time and money for her to make new music outside of when she wants to cash a huge check from a Pokemon movie, etc.

 

Her fans can focus on Cozy Little Christmas in a month or so.

It's obvious that she's slowing down, she's a mom now and she's also doing AI.

She has enough recurrent coins from Teenage Dream alone - she can focus on her family now

Like Miss Fenty, she doesn't need to release anymore albums and being a full timw mother, she has so many responsibilities at the moment. When she is ready to release, she will release so just accept it. Even if it flops, I doubt Katy is going to stop making music.

she's past her peak and in a new stage. she has tons of money though so she will be ok  and her songs will always be remembered 

I just saw her on my TV in that Just Eat commercial. So I guess that’s what.

She is making money from American Idol, unless cancelled, I don't follow it. She has her residency, tacky fashion and family to focus on for personal fulfillment. Why release music if it likely won't sell enough to step away from what she already is?

 

If she wants to take her time a try to make something quality and special to her this would be the time. If anyone needed a career and image shift it's Mrs. Perry.

 

She should come back with a sound closer to One of the boys.
