She has her residency and is a mom. Great! But why isnt she releasing music a lot more? 

She didnt have a huge era or anything so what's up with these huge gaps. She will not be a huge success again so why not just release music more frequently and service your significantly smaller fan base? Like she doesn't even need to promote it or make too many music videos and stuff or concern herself over promo and success at this point. Just create art and release it for the fans.

They kind of deserve more music on a regular basis from her if they are still fans after the disasters of Witness and Smile. 

 

Do you think she is STILL stuck in a creative dry-spell or is she scared to release again or is she just not into music as much anymore now that she has several side businesses and a family and stuff?

what's the point of releasing new music when capitol can push her old catalogue and its having brilliant reuslts? this has actually been happening since she announced her residency. I doubt GP will go for Smile, but they know Prism Katy and Teenage D Katy

The Katy y’all want doesn’t exist anymore.  She’ll drop more albums in the future but nothing will ever stick.  Sad for her fans, but it’s true.

She should just make her old songs go viral. None of her new music is good.

She literally did interviews a few months ago saying she wanted to do a world tour, and that new music would come too. 
 

Im guessing a new era will start in 2023

 

The only girlie constantly releasing rn is Taylor. All the others have at least 2-3 year gaps

Did you see Smile’s numbers? There’s absolutely no demand outside of her very small fanbase and maybe people here in there that are enough to account for a couple thousand of sells. An album that lasts 3 measly weeks on the top 200 says enough. She didn’t have any talent compared to the girls from her generation that were starting to outlast her so what made you think otherwise? 

It’s crazy because you guys expect someone who’s been making music since the early 2000’s to still be as passionate and hungry as they were about it back then. 

Honestly she is Katy Perry, she has always primarily been a money making machine focused on business. 

 

Her Vegas show, shoes and Idol is her main source of income and I don’t see her releasing new stuff unless she is launching a tour. 

Why make new music when you can live off "Roar" and "California Gurls"?

Lol, music is not her priority and 2024 is not that far away.

 

1- capital records isn’t invested.

2- her money comes from outside endeavors.

3- the demand isn’t much.

4- her family are a priority.

5-she didn’t find a good producer that works well with her.

She's obviously got to the point in which music is not a priority anymore.
