David Guetta first played the song during his set at Ultra Music Festival 2017. However, it was not until August 2022 that a snippet of the song would go viral. By time it was released, it had already amassed 130,000 creations and 500 million total views on TikTok and they rush released the release.

 

Her last album "Better Mistakes" debuted at #140 on the Billboard 200 in May 2021.

It’s genuine and organic and it’s impressive because it’s pure demand. Stop acting like it ‘saves peoples careers’

It’s just this dumb argument people keep making repeatedly when artists get hits. People did it with Lizzo earlier this year. A hit is a hit. People act like TikTok is some kind of cheap payolaesque thing and it’s really not, simple as that, but y’all aren’t so keen on picking up on basic concepts sometimes, clearly.

Most singers, actors, producers, etc. will never be superstars. Having gigs and success here and there is a much more sustainable existence.

It's not even about being a superstar, it's more about having a brand and standing out. There are many stars that aren't exactly huge but have loyal fan bases and have left a mark in some way like Charli XCX, Tove Lo etc.
