She went from having European smash after smash with her debut, and a moderate hit with The Motto, to making 0 noise with MYTP despite a hair and image change. It's looking like Million Dollar Baby will follow the same route as well.  

 

With news of Diamonds & Dancefloors being delayed until January & the album leaking in full (apart from a few tracks) the other day, it seems like the album is shaping up to be DOA. What's next for her?

I did not know her album leaked! She’s really about to get ‘XCX World’d’, ‘Problematique’d’ & ‘2 Die 4’d’. 
 

On second thought, they’ve already got the physical copies being manufactured so the album being shelved won’t happen. But it will definitely ruin the era, Atlantic will probably cut budgets.

Unfortunately, I’ve also been really turned off by her for over a year now. I was really rooting for her when SBP went big. And I waited the 2 long painful years for her debut album & enjoyed it (for a couple of months).

 

But everything since Heaven & Hell just hasn’t hit. I’m just not feeling these manufactured pop hits anymore.

 

And honestly this is probably the case with a lot of her fans. Hence the new music not doing as well.

I mean there have been albums that were manufactured and still shelved. Stacie Orrico's album, and HRVY's debut. Both leaked, both shelved and the CD's are floating around on Ebay.

This has had records produced, which are a lot more expensive & time consuming to make. But who knows what they'll do.

Probably not much. She could go the Bebe Rexha route and do some collabs since The Motto seemed to work a bit. Other than that she's done for.

Probably put out some DJ collabs until one sticks in Europe. No hate, but Ava doesn't really have it in her to be a full-fledged pop star.

Im not really sure why ATRL hated her so much. Naked was amazing.

She’s a non factor, the general public doesn’t know who she is and she doesn’t have a notable fanbase at all… if she had one she probably could’ve grown a cult following like Charli, Kim, Carly etc but that’s not happening. Even Sabrina Carpenter has a bigger presence. Her management is pure trash too bc she’s never booked for anything

 

The thing is… she needs to just pick the right songs to get back on track. The current ones aren’t reasonating with the public for some reason but I feel like she might have a hit in the future (probably with a DJ again). I don’t think anyone should expect anything other than that from her

I guess she can keep making collaborations with DJs from Europe, but at this point it's evident she's not going to happen, 4 years passed from 'Sweet but Psycho' and she released tones of songs that were also big flops with her debut album not making any noise.

She did that supermarket concert though.

She'll go down in history as "Sweet But Psycho" chanteuse. She was never meant to last, she has nothing to offer

A David Guétta collab' or BEP

I was really rooting for her in 2020 because she brought a fun level of pure pop that was exciting to watch. A lot of her singles were amazing as well. But in 2022, the state of her career is just kinda sad. She still hasn't toured, she doesn't really seem to care, not a lot of promotion going on etc... I think from here on she'll just release songs that'll end up being moderate hits. Probably back to featuring on DJ songs. I hope I'm wrong though 

Sophomore slump? Considering that she isn't big in the US and the UK & Europe were her strongest markets, it's like they're beginning to wash their hands off of her.

Up until fairly recently, it was always hard for female artists to continue their momentum after their debut in these territories.

 

 

Another thing is that she's just faceless and one of many "generic pop curated for Spotify playlists" singers a la Zara Larsson, Anne-Marie, Becky Hill and Bebe Rexha.

Amelia Lily's Be a Fighter album was like this too. Her label had the poor girl signing albums only for them to never get released
