She's great, loved HIAPL and her compilation album, and the 3 singles from her new album are all fantastic

i did not like her first album and thought it was rightfully panned (besides say it which was one of the best songs of that year). this era has been total excellence tho and changed my opinion on her 

Loved the EP, loved the debut. Weary of the second record, but I'm still looking forward to its release.

she’s great! i just started getting into her a few weeks ago and Alaska, Say It, and On + Off from her first album are pop excellence 

 

all the new singles are really awesome too 

 

i will say one small thing though. when Pharrell was like praising how unique she is, i kinda had to be like “?” because her style is VERY much like Sylvan Esso’s. both make wonderful music, but she’s definitely doin something that isn’t 100% new, and there’s nothing wrong with that

i liked her from the beginning when i saw the viral Pharrell video. i loved the debut. Back In My Body is phenomenal.

Love her  HIIAPL was an excellent debut and Surrender is looking like it'll be a great follow up.

Want want is cute.

At first I wasn't that into her music, thought it was cute but a little boring. Dog Years was really the song that got me to appreciate her more. I saw people being critical of TWIA but I thought it was a great single

That video of her paying Alaska for Pharrell is still fascinating, I love that song and her story. Her debut was pretty uneven for me, I didn’t love it overall.

 

This album is shaping up to be much more promising, That’s Where I Am and Want Want are excellent and remind me a lot of the singer-songwriters of the late 90s, in a really tasteful and not cheesy or pastiche-y way. Horses hasn’t clicked with me yet, I’m thinking it might in context of the album.

Want Want is a BOP.

 

And Horses is so good.  I think this next album is going to be great.
