Dreamgirls vs A Star is Born
Listen is the national anthem of the Philippines so I say Dreamgirls for most. My memory is fuzzy on both of these musicals but I picked ASIB for best soundtrack just for this song

Tinashe - 'QUANTUM BABY'
I'm kind of feeling the same way. I was supposed to fly to LA last year and see her with Shyg*rl but that obvi got messed up, and the BBANG3L tour was only east coast. I don't know why she's cutting half of BBA during this tour, I just want Tightrope! I've only been able to see her once during 333 era, but I don't think Throw a Fit, X, Link Up and AHOD all need to take up space in 2024. Plus Quantum Baby still hasn't grown on me . If my roommate still wants to go I'm sure I'll have a fine time

JoJo - "Too Much to Say"
this is one of the better singles she's teased in a long time. The beat does somehow sound like 2015 Mad Love EDM album, but I love her vocals sounding properly mixed

Mabel
Omg need to wake this thread up! First of all I'm so excited she's going back to an R&B leaning sound and she's happy about music again. I didn't get into About Last Night but I'm so happy that she also wasn't into that sound Also I hate her label and the way they release / re-release her singles with remixes and stuff. I was trying to listen to FML but it was the clean version. The explicit High Expectations album and random versions of Tick Tock are under an entirely different Mabel account on Spotify...

Would this song smash in 2024?
I was just talking about this song earlier. Like it's so funny Sabrina was a Disney nobody during this and now definitely bigger than Zara I think Sabrina's voice sounds better on this but I still hate Marshmello's production. Definitely don't see this smashing

Charli xcx - 'Brat and it's completely different but also still brat'
I am a big Tinashe stan and I hated the B2b remix . I was a big Charli fan from Sucker -> self titled, but I feel less into her every era. I appreciate what she's done in the overall music scene but I don't see myself tuning in for future releases anymore And yes those are my favorite remixes too! Girl so Confusing got me on board with Brat summer and i lovee the beat on Talk Talk

JoJo - "Porcelain"
Yess! She's barely had any uptempo songs since Mad Love . Good To Know deluxe tracks were mostly uptempo but the production wasn't my favorite on those

Post terrible song(s) by your faves
- Tinashe - 'QUANTUM BABY'
Also currently working on my Quantum BB tracklist I kinda have No Broke Boys as a 'bonus' for now at the beginning so i can boost its streams easily. That track + Treason, None of My Business, and Tightrope just feel more out of place and hopefully will find a good spot in the tracklisting on part 3. There is definitely a clear through-line and new level of vulnerability in these collections so far.- Tinashe - 'QUANTUM BABY'
I wish there was a way to see her face in real time when the interviewer said that . I know they have little time to prepare so she just had to come up with ones she liked but that one is unfortunate. Also when they're playing the Life's Too Short snippet they have the RCA logo in the corner- Lucky vs. Don't Forget
I thought it was going to be Don't Forget by Demi Lovato- Quisol - "Unfold"
Please check out the new music video for Quisol's single 'Unfold': Joseph Samuel Quisol, M.Ed. is an artist, educator, and organizer with roots in the Philippines and Puerto Rico. A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he is now releasing 'Unfold' as the lead single for his upcoming 4th project. The music video is directed by masterful filmmaker Rhi Bergado who has worked with names such as Troye Sivan, Lizzo and Shea Coulee! If you enjoy, take a listen to Quisol's catalog here- Share Your Music
Not my own music, but I'm starting to work as a manager for this indie artist I have really admired for years!- Tinashe & Tyga - "Nasty XXX Remix"
omg her verse is mixed so much better. I love how it stands out more in the mix. I feel like she did it to incentivize us to listen to these remixes one way or another. The new verse was terrible. Tyga has done decent wordplay before but his lines went nowhere. Idk if the little set up of T cheating on him was necessary. The titles are definitely all wrong. Chlöe definitely gave more XXX, and Tyga's verse gave her a Nasty Girl (or promiscuous) vibe.- Tinashe & Tyga - "Nasty XXX Remix"
also AB tried shading Tinashe by saying she copies Twigs years ago. AB has since become a stan 😂 but i doubt T loves her. And she's probably burned every bridge possible so her only reach is the same online gays that probably listen to T already. OT: I guess this is good for urban. I didn't like his first 2 lines I heard, but if this ropes in more basic straight people that will be a big audience.- Tinashe - "Nasty"
Sometimes it hits me how monumental and unreal this is for her. Like 60m+ Spotify streams, this single track outstreams Nightride (unless you count the Company single track with 40m). It also outstreams all the Joyride singles which came out in the streaming era with a major label, and it's going to surpass Throw a Fit soon. Also less related it's still criminal how little streams her independent albums have .- Better Discography: Beyoncé vs Tinashe
Dangerously in Love VS In Case We Die (Mixtape) B'Day VS Reverie (Mixtape) I Am...Sasha Fierce VS Black Water (Mixtape) 4 VS Aquarius BEYONCÉ VS Nightride (impossible) Lemonade VS Joyride RENAISSANCE VS Songs for You COWBOY CARTER VS 333 I omitted Amethyst and BBANGEL since they're both amazing but so short. Plus I don't listen to Bey's "side" albums (The Gift and Everything is Love) so I can't compare those fairly. Tinashe is probably my favorite artist in the whole world, and one of few people who can remotely compare to Bey in terms of reinvention and commitment to her craft. Still she doesn't quite have the range. T is great and very new school. Like she excels in her lane of moody, electronic, introspective, sensual and occasionally pop with mixed results. While it's not super common Bey has also dabbled in that like in her self-titled. But Tinashe could never sing songs like Deja Vú, Countdown, or Don't Hurt Yourself. Besides Bey having unreal vocals she also has that commanding old school energy, plus being truly southern she has those country and funk influences. T is a decade+ younger in literal age and career so maybe her discography will get even stronger in time. Long post but I do have to bow down to Bey here.- Tinashe - "Getting No Sleep"
- Tinashe's Songs For You has now sold 100k in the U.S.
Ugh yes! When I finally saw her during the 333 Tour I thought about how a slow, grand entrance of Life's Too Short would've been the perfect way to open Tour For You- Better animal classic: Axel F, The Gummy Bear Song or Snuggle Song?
the one Rita Ora sampled- Tinashe
I can't tell if this is a NashePrint moment but I noticed Normani had "gloves" painted on and it reminded me of Tinashe's "socks" painted in the AHOD video. We love Normani tho and I'm not sure how common it is to do this for photos/videos- Tinashe - "Nasty"
It's so refreshing seeing a song get a fleshed out release with no sign of slowing down yet. Like clockwork her independent rollouts have just been dropping a lead single -> second single -> album all just one month apart from each other with a moderate splash and virality with the same circles of Twitter gays. Even Joyride lowkey did that in 2018 . One of the most exciting things to me is having a song forever in her Spotify top 5 with 2 On (and push out those boring collabs). Like total normies are singing this song, hopefully her future work sticks like this has been doing- Tinashe - "Nasty"
I used to passively support him because of what he represents for the community, despite his music not being that great. But with Nasmaraj, the Cellophane plagiarism, the bloody tampon costume and this I am so over him! Just some cis gay who does not use his platform for anything meaningful (at least, not anymore) He's also always been very online so he knows what he's doing, stealing this trendy video to promote his collab with a racist b*tch!- Favorite Tinashe lead single?
I should've also voted for Pasadena bc I always liked that song . I chose No Drama bc the rollout got me hyped up instantly, it sounded trendy, finally made Joyride happen, had some fun lyrics, plus the artwork was c*nt. I never disliked any of the lead singles, but I didn't register how amazing Company was until the video dropped, DALB and TTMN were so unique I kinda had to take time with them.- Brit Smith - "Karma's A B*tch"
I was gonna say that's crazy bc of the YT views for JoJo's MV but the Spotify streams are nothing ☠️ also Brit Smith's Karma has more Spotify streams than Tinashe's song that came out around the same time 😭 glad she's getting this second wind I actually was a fan of her years ago - Tinashe - 'QUANTUM BABY'
