It was obvious from her debut that she wasn’t really a hot 100 artist. Even her signature song Bad Romance never went #1. Born This Way had a year of hype, Shallow needed a lot of hard work to reach it, and Rain On Me was a collab with one of the biggest streaming artists. Can she ever have a natural solo #1 again?

I honestly don’t think she cares. The ambition for commercial success just isn’t there otherwise she’d be working with different people. I can see a few more Top 10s for Gagz in the future, but that’s it, unless LG7 lead is literally something out of the ordinary and she commits to the era.

With the right song and some promo sure.

What are you talking about she had two number 1 hits from her debut? Plus BR was big enough to go number 1 it was just blocked by other massive songs if the charts worked how they do today back then it would have. Any lead single from Born This Way was going number 1 as she was at the absolute peak of her career going into that album and shallow is a soundtrack single and a ballad, not easy to make number 1 but she did it. Also not every Ariana collab goes number 1 either..

Doesn’t she have the same amount of #1 hits as Britney with half the time? I don’t understand why people are holding this against her, especially because Bad Romance really SHOULD BE a #1 hit. 

Most pop girls cant have #1s these days, so probably not

She was bigger than Bradley. Look at how her solo songs charted on ASIB soundtrack as opposed to Bradley’s solos. Gaga’s followup to ASIB also grossed more than Nightmare Alley. So this point has been dismantled and you should be embarrassed to have made it. Don’t make it again.
