Liam Payne: What went wrong?

Featured Replies

Coming off one of the biggest bands of all time and being branded the "Antichrist of Harry Styles", who is currently the biggest male artiste, the Aguilera to his Spears, what was Payno lacking that made him a complete failure? Discuss.

Everything. Literally everything he could do to **** himself for good he’s done.

He was one of my faves in 1D, but he's such a lost soul now. He doesn't have a creative vision, doesn't write his own songs, doesn't make interesting music, has a boring and annoying personality...

Sexualised and scandalised himself to a point where you forget his main occupation is supposed to be a 'recording artist'

honestly? the fact that he’s very obviously an addict.

he was one of the most talented members of one direction (definitely infinitely more talented than niall and louis and definitely infinitely more driven than zayn) but he has clearly gone down a dark path. his music does not display the level of talent he possesses and he would clearly rather party than focus on his career.

let’s be real, no one could ever compete with harry because people find him the most attractive and that’s literally all of your value as a former boy band member, but if he was sober and released music that actually displayed his talent he could definitely be the second most successful member of one direction.

He had nothing to bring to the table.

It is not a matter of behavior or personality or the over-dramatized self-destruction I see people talking about. Even if he was more put together or made a different type of music or had a different image, it still wouldn't have happened for him. The same way it didn't happen for Niall, who was very much focused and clear minded, yet had 2.5 radio driven hits and no one is interested now. Same way it didn't happen for Louis. The 2 people that had a chance at solo stardom were always Harry and Zayn.

i guess if he dropped his debut in 2017 when STD was smashing he would've done something decent instead of #111 i also liked his song with Zedd (?) and Bedroom Floor in 2017 but everything else was horrible

lack of talent i guess:sistrens:

Never interesting as an artist, scored a lucky because it clicked and good for him. I've been interested on him, just because he's hot. Besides that, there's no more appeal.

He had great songs before - I honestly think Bedroom Floor was such a genius song. But everything went downhill, he released generic songs continuously that people don’t remember him as an artist anymore.

I say if he tries something really bold and very left field, it ay work. He needs to stop with the generic pop songs, he can sing sonhe better use that beautiful voice for a great soaring song.

Have you heard his music? He tried to market himself as the next Justin Timberlake, but the music wasn't it and it's not 2004 anymore

His image and his release schedule kinda screwed him. By the time his debut album dropped we’d already heard about half of it two years prior. The music was just generic and not all that good. He has a few decent songs and he has a good voice but the overly sexed up image coupled with no musical identity just didn’t do him any favors.

which one was Liam? was he the one who currentley cheated on his partner and is not a nice person?

i remember liking one of the boys (not harry) but forgot his name nnnn, was the oldest one.
