BTS debuts another chart manipulation

Featured Replies

If anything, that's Charlie Puth's fault since BTS is credited on his song.

I think it's because of BTS agency, it's the same for the other members, BTS is credited for their collabs with other artists but when it's another artist song. Like Juice WRLD song with Suga, BTS is credited. But for Jhope song "chicken noodle soup" ft Becky G only him is credited, not BTS. So it looks like it's BTS agency asking to put the group in the credit when one member is featured on another artist song.

This is like a norm in K-pop. Most solos in albums get billed as the group on streaming platforms.

not for BLACKPINK!

BTS and their success are all fake after all. No one is surprised with this.

Did Spotify add Nayeon's streams to TWICE? I honestly don't know if that's what you're implying. I don't think i've ever seen that happen to any girl group in kpop.

It's an irrelevant spotify daily artist chart. No one cares :skull:

I thought it was another Billboard chart manipulation I was scared for a moment :dies:

This is pretty much a normal things for artists to do. To my fellow Taylor stans, keep it cute: both Brendon Urie and Panic at The Disco are credited on ME! on Spotify.

But POTD is literally just Brendon while BTS is not just Jungkook and has 6 other members :deadbanana4:

is that a big deal :rip:

But the song wasn’t labelled as «feauturing P!ATD», it was labelled as «Brendon Urie of P!ATD». It’s the same thing. The P!ATD spotify page was credited to add streams.

They always do this. When they released the 3 songs for their movie they are credited as BTS despite being only a few of them in each song.

I had no idea. Lisa, Jennie, Rose solos aren't counted for BP, and Money and SOLO were huge. Same goes for the MAMAMOO solos, Hwasa and the rest solos aren't counted for the group. Yesung and Chanyeol's Confessions doesn't show Super Junior nor Exo in the credits.

I was confused tbh. In the title it clearly says "ft. Jungkook" but BTS is tagged on the "artist" section.

The song includes "from BTS" in the tittle :keir:

The Billboard credit is that matters.:-*

not some irrelevant credit on spotify :deadbanana2:

The play the game, when Mathew Knowles and Beyonce do it its ok, if BTS do it you all go crazy.

damn is it THAT deep yall? many times (not ALWAYS, but MANY TIMES) solo k releases have the groups listed, it aint that strange

its okay for western artists to do all sorts of gimmicks to get a #1 but once a k-soloist credits his own group its suddenly off limits :skull: yall doing way too much sometimes

I just realized this (or the reversed version) is done quite often, not just in K-Pop. Annie Lennox and the other Eurythmics guy are both credited on Sweet Dreams too. Same with some 90s group called Fives where one of the singers is additionally credited on the songs.
