Conquered fashion? More like fashion conquered him.

Hes a paint by the numbers bad impersonation of Jagger/Bowie.

There’s no measurable way to know or compare that.

The legends of our time have 1000x more competition, face a super saturated market were everything has already been done and are measured by streams and digital sales.

True. But the thread asked will he ever be a legend. To define legend, we should compare him to actual music legends.

No he has a huge fanbase of young people but I don't see him becoming a TRUE household name and legend...

He already is, and is respectable enough as an artist and as a human being to hold that title over industry products with a bunch of team behind carefully crafted music and marketing like Justin Bieber

Obviously no, he's doing nothing but hope on trends and doing exactly like a radiography what prince, Bowie etc did all their life but he can be a legend for the grow up 1D girls stans

Not yet, but LGBTQ-friendly white males will have some legs in their careers so he's having a good shot at that.

He could be this gen's Paul McCartney if he plays his cards right

Y'all really just say anything, this man hasn't even written a classic yet. By the time Paul was 28 he'd written Yesterday, Hey Jude and Let It Be :rip:

OT: He just needs longevity and sure why not. He isn't groundbreaking in anyway, but he has a fanbase of young women and girls who've already decided he's our generations Bowie, Jagger, Prince or Mercury. Maybe even all four in one :rip:

Too early to say, he needs better music.

Not with the lackluster attempt to be more indie 3rd album that he delivered…

I think so, if he continues being successful for 10 years. He is still on the "growing" phase as well, earning new fans, earning more exposure to Gen Z + GP, he used to be just reliant to his 1D fans goodwill. I fear his peak has not come yet. Plus he has a distinct image that makes him stand out, which every Legend should have.
