Saves the World stans need to speak up! I will say it's more of a melodic/stylistic comparison to those two songs (along with Taken now that I think of it), it definitely is much slower like others have said so don't expect Pink Light 2.0. Either way it's climbing my ranking already

I've just seen its already out in NZ so I guess this will be a local release !!

It has l worded ! Amazing album as expected but I think the singles are the best tracks. However there’s not a single song I dislike unlike her previous albums 

silk chiffon is truly one of the best songs last year..

shooting star is soooooo phoebe bridgers, probably my favorite from the unreleased tracks.

The album is not yet available in my country and I can’t find it anywhere. I’m dying to hear it 

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... this album is definitely my least favorite of theirs. we'll see what grows on me cuz their music usually serves mad growers. but there's a stretch of songs i don't really care for

 

i will say loose garment kinda excavated my hole. never expected them to go for strings and it was something i never knew i needed.

What I Want is an absolute banger  I think it's the next single too? Can't wait for the video. 
 

 

Listening right now. What I Want is absolutely massive. Runner’s High is kinda experimental? I was not expecting this. I’ll write a short review once I finish.

Ugh as expected a fantastic record. 

Loose Garment & Shooting Star are a perfect album closing pair & Shooting Star is easily my fav of the tracks we hadn't heard yet - it builds so nicely near the end. What I Want, Runner's High, and No Idea are all amazing too. Handle Me & Solid didn't hit quite as hard as the other tracks on my first listen, but they're growing on me quickly.

Also, loving the addition of strings & horns to their sonic palette. I think they work really well on this album.

I’ve had home by now on repeat the last few weeks. I’m obsessed with their whole discography, one of the most consistently good discographies in modern pop I fear

 

glad the reviews are as positive as they are.

This album is absolute pop perfection and AOTY contender for sure. Just one listen and it’s already my favourite from them. Can’t believe how insanely good the production of this record is and how they have experimented with it in some tracks. Vocally, it’s also their best effort, simply stunning.

 

1. Silk Chiffon: Pop/rock perfection, perfect lead single and perfect feature. One of my most played songs of last and this year.

 

2. What I Want: An absolute banger. Euphoric and cathartic. They were saving the biggest track for its release and they didn’t disappoint. 
 

3. Runner’s High: Ok, I was not expecting this from descriptions. I was expecting a synth-pop banger and we got an experimental, atmospheric and electronical song. I will need time with this but it’s a strong one for sure.

 

4. Home By Now: Synth-pop bliss. I mean, it’s pure perfection. I wish they had saved it for album release. One of the most melodic tracks of the record.

 

5. Kind of Girl: My favourite ballad from them. Absolutely breath-taking. I have blasted it non-stop since they released it. Vocally is one of the best moments of the album and the countrish production is top quality.

 

6. Handle Me: I will need more listens since is the one I remember less. However, it’s a beautiful one. I would not have placed it after Kind of Girl tho.

 

7. No Idea: A banger. Post-chorus is one of the greatest moments of the album. I wish the chorus was less repetitive and the track was made longer. 
 

8. Solid: My wig was in Neptune by the time the song finished. The production is one of my favourites of the album. Very 80s. I wish it was longer because this track is absolutely brilliant.

 

9. Anything But Me: It makes sense placing this song after Solid since both share a very 80s and nostalgic production. Another pop perfection banger and one of my favourite songs of the year. 
 

10. Loose Garment: The strings are brilliant on this song. Melody line is also beautiful. Really liked it.

 

11. Shooting Star: Great closure to the record. The way it progresses and builds up towards the end… Really, really loved it. 
 

As I said, no skips here. They have delivered their best album by a wide margin.

Runner's High has snatched the top spot for me. This is not something they just made, this is in different areas

I'm FLOORED this album is everything  What I Want, Runner's High and Solid are stunners

I'm literally on the floor because of this album. Holy ****. The production on every. single. song was just so good! 

 

I already felt like I was in a delirious bliss just after What I want alone 

 

They really are the best band in the world, they didn't lie. To create three flawless albums, to keep that recognizable sound, to still change it up just enough for it to sound nrw AND to keep the quality up as well.. just wow 

 

Now all I need is a European tour. PLEASE. If they don't I might just go to London or something, I would love to see them so badly 

They really don't disappoint at all, and I hope with the uptick in promo they've gotten from Saddest Factory, they're on their way to getting the recognition they deserve.

 

This album is excellent, just like their previous two for me and they have all felt so essential to me whenever I listen to them.
