Miss Lipa seems to be like Ariana, at the in between age where's not Gen Z (her fans are leftover Britney & Zayn stans) but i was told by ATRL experts that she's waaay above my fav and already up there with the greats or MPG's such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna, Taylor, Gaga, etc.

 

Are those really her peers or she's more in line with her co-H&M playlist pop girlies? as seen on her similar artists from spotify below

tbh she doesn’t really have any. ariana is leagues above her, billie and olivia feel way younger than her, and bebe/zara/rita/etc. were her peers when she debuted but now she has far surpassed them. doja is in the same league as her but their music feels far too different for them to be considered peers so idk 

An artist being your peer doesn't necessarily mean you both get the same level of success, it just means that you make music for similar audiences. I may be wrong but that's how I always saw it. In this case, teens / young adults are the core of these artists' audiences.

i see Doja too but the Lipas have answered, and it seems she's up against UK darling Adele this time. must be because she won the Best Pop Brit over Adele this year. and since they are so vocal of wanting to stop the Camila comparisons, we'll be comparing her next era to 25 then. duly noted!

 

It’s hard to place her since she is one of the new girls who is genuinely slaying, which none of the others who came out around her time are. She kinda occupies her own zone.

they debuted at the exact same time and had very similar trajectories in their  first year or two in 2015/16/17.  they had very similar successes as well as shortcomings in that new music climate where spotify playlists and streaming fully took over. they all had delayed debut albums that ended up being complications of their greatest hits. they all had the UK/euro/australia market (almost) secured but didn’t have the momentum to release their album. 

Her peer was Camila but she bombed so hard that Dua is left with no competition. All of Dua's peers now are left behind, last being relevant during Trump's administration term.

 

 

She doesn’t have any.

Taylor except dua can actually get a hit so maybe she’s in a league of her own!

Well idk who said that but they are lying. Dua is nowhere near on Taylor's level yet and anyone who does think so is delusional. However, she has definitely surpassed some of the women who came up around the same time as she did including a Latina whose album had a collab with the biggest male popstar bar Drake and didn't even crack the top 5

Streaming wise she sits pretty at #1 and #4/#5 most consumed album by a female artist dead or Alive anyway, so there u go
