Timbaland was supposed to bring his sound to that album but then he said Britney was rude to him and then only Danja, Timbalands coproducer, brought that sound to the album.

Timbaland is the egomaniac who took the lead artist credit for OneRepublic's first single. If Britney was rude to him it's not hard for me to see why. And considering how much Danja loves Britney, maybe he even agreed with her.

Stripped obviously and it's not even close

Though it's always a kii when some here try to imply Blackout invented dubstep or whatever

You gotta love when that Christina stan talks about other artists having allegedly bad reputations of bein rude and what not. But he will use every excuse in the book to give Christina a pass when she allegedly has the same reputation of being rude.

OT: I like both albums. It's hard for me to decide.

i love both albums and my answer would be split. stripped has a huuuuge influence aesthetics wise and the whole “this is my coming of age personal but sexual era” but sonically i would say blackout was much more influential, but less in terms of aesthetics. pop music sounded way more like blackout than stripped after their respective eras

OK. Turns out Britney haters came rushing in here to **** on objectively her best album.

I got into Britney in 2020 because of her conservatorship case leading me to explore her discography. before then I'd hear about this album being discussed or referenced. Obviously Gimme More, Piece of Me were hits and I've recognized that they were from the same album.

I've never, ever heard about any Christina album in any context other than Bionic being the failure that it was. I guess the singles from Stripped were played at the time? However in 2022 the discussion around the Christina album is not on the same level as Blackout, or any other Britney album for that matter.

The 10M+ global selling album. Beautiful, Can't Hold Us Down, Fighter, The Voice Within, Dirrty - Xtina did that with this album and even Billboard wrote an article of its influence in music culture

Stripped because it’s arguably Christina’s peak. It has the numbers and Beautiful alone was an anthem for a generation, and to a lesser degree Fighter. I prefer Blackout, and it will always be a staple in the gay community, but as far as reality and technicality is concerned, Stripped wins. ATRL usually can’t think beyond that measure tho

Stripped obviously. But we all know the Britney fans are going to vote blindly for Blackout and then try to justify it by repeating the lie about being in some hall of fame :rip: when it’s just in a library that has other random flop albums  like Nellys’s Brass Knuckles :rip:

^^

blackout is the better album with some cute retrospective acclaim but stripped had more influence. Blackout was seen as some trashy EDM album at the time and the visuals were literally just Britney naked. Whilst both women stans over rate them highly, Britney’s ‘Britney b”tch’ was only one aspect of the era lol and what could the VMAs influence

Stripped.

I still see people referencing that Xtina.

Nobody talks about Blackout, it was an underperformance. Gimme More was viral on tik tok for awhile though, but it has nothing to do with Blackout's impact or whatever.

You are right. There was a reason. He told her that she can only be successful with Justin by her side.

Timbaland told MTV news that Spears could have greatly benefited from a collaboration with Timberlake, who was named MTV's male artist of the year at last weekend's Video Music Awards. It was close to happening, but Spears' ego got in the way, Timbaland said.
"She should, humbly humble herself, "Timbaland told MTV News. "And make a phone call and say I'm sorry. That's it."

"She knows what she's sorry about, too," he added.

Britney needs a hit, Timbaland said, and considering his success over the past year with Timberlake, 50 Cent and Nelly Furtado, he is the producer to do it, but not until Spears is willing to take advice.

"(She got) so big-headed and [was] like, 'Screw you, screw you, I don't need nobody,' " he said.

"She needs a story," he told MTV. "She has no comeback story. That's the problem. She has to have a team."

Stripped is amazing. Christina's best album. But overall Blackout.
