Do you miss Stand Your Ground?

Do you miss the iconic ATRL thread where members would lash each other day in and day out?

  • No. Saying it as someone who visited and posted there, it's for the best that its gone. I remember the first time I got in there and thought it would just be the shallow kind of dragging but you liter

No. Bunch of lunatics with no life whatsoever trying to be "cool".

No.

SYG stopped being useful and “iconic” well into the end of the original ATRL.

Yes I do.  There certainly wouldn't be 20 damn threads about what went wrong with Adele.

The ppl who never posted in there always have strong opinons about it.

Now No Holds Barred was a terrible thread as it was for personal attacks against actual members.

Yes, I would always post random deep-cut album songs in the middle of "Fad is forgagaten" and comparisons of women's bodies to fridges and pigs, you know, the typical and normal adult gay men behaviour that they would then complain about misogyny in other threads and not see their own gross hypocrisy. If Pop Culture Talk was popular thread, I wouldn't miss SYG one bit tho.

The time before it was overrun by racists was cute for an occasional kii. It went downhill FAST though

No. The people who miss it want an excuse to be racist again it seems :ducky:

It was just a place for white people to use the N word and not get banned for it :giraffe:

Good thing I never had the chance to get in there :rip:

Honestly yes. It was an outlet for all the shitty and trolly opinions on this site

Yes and no.

I used to find funny yet crud comments but others are borderline disturbing.

I did not like it cause id always get warning points when i used it. I felt cheated

Almost never posted in it, but yes. More free speech is always a good thing.

Never set foot on it after the original ATRL died but it was a **** hole of openly racist people pounding their keyboards on irrelevant matters. Even No Holds Barred had more of a purpose as a punching bag thread and that’s saying much

I think we've grown past the need of it but I won't pretend like it wasn't fun at times. I can tell most of the people haven't even checked it before if they claim it was a place to freely throw around the n word :deadbanana2:

Atrlers keep that for their inner circle discord chats.

Is there anything stopping the members that miss it from coming together and starting a SYG discord? It seems like a better idea than bringing up SYG once every week despite the admins saying it's never coming back.

No. It was a cesspit of bigotry.

ATRL has been way more fun since it closed, especially since there's no longer a go-to spot for mess that dried the rest of the site like a eucalyptus.
