UK, NZ, Kyoto. I don't care about the loneliness or emotional distance for UK. I can feel lonely on a beach in Amalfi just fine. People build chosen families all the time. NZ seems picturesque and nobody ever really bothers them so I could make do with that. Kyoto would be fine as long as I could actually keep up with the expectations.

I unironically think the centrist Dems will replace the Rs in a few cycles. Dying off boomers on the right will be replaced by Neera Tanden types fleeing from the left once they amass enough power and influence. We already have once respected liberal personalities like Debra Messing straight up endorsing Republicans in 2026.

I wish Chris Van Hollen wasn't so nationally irrelevant that he would struggle against the hydra of vibe-y neoliberal 2028 candidates. I really hope the country survives long enough to have competent but boring elected officials again.

Good lord I can not wait to vote early tomorrow morning and leave this election cycle behind. Something about this year seems so much more obnoxious than before.
