Britney's first remix album is absolutely excellent! Every remix serves a purpose. The choices of remixes aren't lazy (hello! Vol. 2).

BITMV2 is cheap and pales in comparison. The mood for the album is great. Including remixes for In The Church's album's tracks was a genius idea. Vol. 2 was such a shameless cashgrab from the label  That said, it always intrigued me why they never released a vol 3. Especially during the Vegas years. BITMV1 remains immaculate tho

Not many releases to remix from and not many hits from them either

 

Vol 1 contains remixes from all previous studio albums (BOMT, Oops, Britney, ITZ, and even EP Chaotic)

Vol 2, remixes from studio albums after Vol 1 (Blackout, Circus, FF and also compilation TSC)

 

Following that "rule," she'd have to put out remixes from BJ and Glory, which together gave a total of 4 singles, only 1 being an actual hit, 2 if we are kind. Not even including S&S would've been reason enough to put together such project with such little hit power. They already dropped the artistic value with Vol 2, so with no many hits at hand, it wasn't feasible (although they sure had time to put out random compilations).

 

I prefer Vol 2 remixes, they're all killer imo, no matter if they were already released in previous remix EPs, but I agree Vol 1 is the better concept and execution.

Early Mornin' and Me Against the Music remixes are better than the original ones imo

Immaculate remix album, one of the best from a pop girl. My favorites are probably the Me Against The Music, Touch of My Hand, Breathe on Me, I'm A Slave 4 U and And Then We Kiss remixes, all of them are incredible. Still wish we got the actual And Then We Kiss but I can settle for this. 

And then We Kiss is in her top 3 of all time songs. I don't care what anyone says. It's one of her essential tracks that showcases her vocal versatility- sultry, sexy, soft, emotional. breathey vocals, classic explosive melodies. I wish she paid this song  attention

Also I LOATHE Me against good music but the justice remix ironically brought the song justice + the Toxic and slave for you remixes are 

 

I'm still praying that Sam and Britney do a video for And then we kiss with a remix for the 2020s sound and make it go viral a la Toxic Pony
