aespa (and NCT Dream) are said to be having Japan debut and it's not fake because the info came from SM's own Japan subsidiary company.  Avex also started following aespa a few months ago on Twitter.

 

They've had U.S promotions at the same time as promoting other stuff before (see Savage). 

 

OT: the way aespa snatched such a massive hit with NL
