why do K-pop idols all have Casetify for their phones

Posted (edited)

I don’t understand why Kpop companies don’t take in people from the Philippines as trainees, when every person from that country can literally sing and belt like crazy. Kpop in general is lacking power vocals especially in 4th gen according to people, so why not scout people from the country with the best singers in the world? (I know that it’s just a stereotype but still)

I have also noticed that Japanese idols in Kpop always tend to be the best dancers in the industry. However they also tend to be the worst singers :dies: (I recently learned that there’s also a stereotype about Japanese people being horrible singers)

They do, but I agree it should be more common. Charice/Jake Zyrus got offered a contract by SM, but he turned it down.

And since you mentioned Luna before, you reminded me of this clip of her getting embarrassed and crying from getting beaten in a vocal battle with Charice...Charice showed her no mercy:rip:

Speaking of 4th gen visuals, OnlyOneOf is so underrated as a group.:WAP:

It's always fascinating watching the BTS of RV's recording session. The harmonies and vocal layers. It's rare to see in other groups :clap3:

the way the vibe completely changes when working with Irene :ahh:

Remind me when SBS did a whole casting in the Philipines and the winner was still half Korean, a MLD with Ahin tea.

He's in Fantagio right now in the new i-teen boys, fun fact Fantagio BG was supposed to debut in Summer/Fall 22, they already recorded their first mini album (an article about their group projection to debut with the preparation of the album was actually posted), but it was suddenly pushed back with no notice.

Omg I never knew this and what a coincidence :rip:

Keep in mind that Luna is the best vocalist Kpop has to offer, and yet Charice made her look like complete amateur :deadbanana2:

But to be fair, isn’t Charice literally the best singer in our life time? :deadbanana4:

This is probably the best live vocal performance recorded in human history

BP is basically a French group, Today Jisoo was invited by the Director if Dior to lunch, Jennie was at Jaquemus event, Rosé & Lisa both were also at some place, a radio show said that BP was invited to go on TV and Radio but was refused by their management.

While the other groups say theyre bigger than BP sadly its BP that attracts all the A listers I fear :fan:

14 shows for a ww tour is laughable tho, you have groups doing full 40+ show tour and JYPE books the bare minimum for them :rip: at least they can rest this way ig

Y’all know most Asian countries hate Filipinos, right? It’s kinda like how you would never have a hit Russian or German musician in the U.S. - the general public’s prejudices wouldn’t allow it.

But for what it’s worth, K-pop is working on being better. Hanni is the first big Vietnamese K-pop star ever.

The way Boram and Soyeon are not even invited to Jiyeon's wedding :dies: T-ARA reunion will never happen, they truly has the worst dynamic among top 2nd gen GG :deadbanana:

But just imagine the kii, cackle and collapse if ALL of them (Hwayoung, Areum and Dani included) release a song together :rip: :rip:

Because they all sound the same and they always tried to copy Mariah or Whitney?

the way people are easily impressed by them screaming is the same way 4th gen fans with idols singing live.
