They didn’t slower than expected when they broke their own records  it’s not like they were the best selling GG anyway. 

I don’t get the drag because they got outcharted by rookies when in fact that’s something which happened before . Rookies doing better than seniors has always been a thing. Twice, BP, Aespa, Itzy, SNSD..

Dalla dalla was bigger than fancy no one questioned Twice statue in Korea, NL was bigger than butter and BTS still the biggest group in the world.
BP has scored top 5 since debut that’s not a decline. IVE and NJ will eventually become senior groups and rookies will do better than them. That’s how the music industry work.

But It's actually funny how JYPE spent years trying China's market adding chinese members in groups and even created a whole chinese group just for their group with the biggest selling power there being one with 8 members ethnically korean and no push. Just good music done by themselves

Maxident era didn't start yet and It has been Interesting so far. Billboard magazine (special collection) cover and interview, music for Street Man Fighter and 2 sold out concerts on KSPO Dome spoiling songs. Imagine when It actually starts. 

People really need to learn the difference between "Flop" and "Underperformance"

 

Underperformance is relative to a standard. That's the correct term people should be using unless it straight up failed to even go Top 20 or something.

 

BP not going #1 digitally in Korea considering their untouchable status is an underperformance, not a flop.

BP not going #1 on BB200 and getting similar numbers to aespa and LESS than TWICE is an underperformance, but not a flop regardless. 

BP having similar album numbers to aespa is an underperformance. Especially with Blinks going around with some 3-4M number that's literally not being reflected in sales. However, over 1M albums in a week and surely soon to be the most sold female kpop album of all time is definitely not a flop.

 

This era has definitely underperformed in some aspects and overperformed in others (Shut Down is holding well on WW spotify and overall they do significantly better than any other GG on Youtube/Spotify). 

 

Idk why admitting things is so hard for people.
