this group never stops attacking that one member on how he looks :deadvision: does their team not see the amount of tweets made on this and actually have a word with them?

:bibliahh::bibliahh: this is so true, he's such a terrible MC next to Wonyoung

Well that's precisely it. Talking English in interviews isn't really worthy of a spot in a top gg.

Karina in all honestly sounds better rapping than Giselle (compare their raps in Girls)

And Giselle is hugely noticeable in performances for not even being remotely close to keeping up.

The girl looks like she was chosen out of a group of random people and thrown into the group with no training, no effort, nothing.

I don't think SM has ever had such a blatantly bad performer in a girl group. Even their main singers/visuals from previous GGs were leagues better than Giselle who isn't a main singer or visual. Literally her main purpose is talking English in interviews.

I know, people can say what yhey want about the other 3 but they're clearly the kind of idols that are a viable asset in any group due to one or more of their qualities but with Giselle, she stands out since the group is so small.

I think SM thought she could handle the pressure but it's a lot to put on a girl to be put in a work situation where she's not an asset and being compared all the time to other idols, not just her members. Who knows though maybe she has thick skin and is happy with her situation lol

I think a lot of the comments about Giselle are very overexaggerated/overdramatic.

I don't see any glaring, major screw ups from her, she's clearly not a natural dancer, but then, not everyone will be. Her dance level seems fine to me and in general she seems to be pretty average/decent at all skills. In fact, her singing is probably a bit better than SM is letting her show at the moment.

We have to remember that SM often forces idols into roles that don't play to their natural strengths. (Like Amber being forced to be a rapper, or Tiffany a main singer etc.). However, Giselle isn't even in the dance line, so I think she's doing fine for what she's meant to be delivering to the group.

Looking at their international promotions, it's clear they really needed someone like Giselle in the group. This comeback there's less of a focus on her, but she'll get her turn to shine the most at some point.

Why are y’all going so hard on Giselle :deadbanana2:

i mean she isn’t the best in anything but she does well in whatever she’s given….maybe she’s just having some bad days like Jennie in 2017/18 :swan:

On the bright side, her members seem to treat her well and they don't pick at her. She seems to actually be the most dominant member in terms of group interactions so that is one of her strong qualities. :heart2:

The thing is with Giselle is that she's actually pretty versatile, whether people choose to buy into it or not. She's a very capable vocalist (probably good enough to be lead in any nugu group), but obviously won't stand toe-to-toe with Ningning or Winter on most of the tracks (seeing as big vocal moments are becoming an aespa signature).

She's also shown time and again that she has the potential to be the top 4th gen female rapper, and writes, produces and does arrangements. The only issue is that SM has little idea on how to maximize on that kind of potential. SM is notoriously poor when it comes to arranging rap, and so Giselle often falls short where the other 3 each get to flex their strengths.

I'd honestly imagine Giselle would have been a better fit for a company like YG: less performance-based, but better geared at shaping personality and honing artistic talents.

Realistically I stan like 3.5 of aespa. I only really tolerate Giselle but definitely am not a big fan.

No Giselle is miles better at rapping than Rina. Rina is the standard SM rap no passion no vision. Her raps are the same no matter what song you listen to. At least Giselle has writing credits towards her name and shows new rap styles.

And yes Amber was very bad at performing. And Krystal was also. You could never go a single day without a new pann talking about Krystal’s lazy dancing. You can come at Giselle for mediocre dancing talent, but her stage presence is always there. Always serving new face and energy. Even when Aespa was getting dragged for their stages, Ning and Giselle were the ones who were always talked about being great on the stage especially in front of a crowd.

Let's not make up facts now.

If you think Amber was a bad performer I can't see how you'd think Giselle is anything better than downright terrible. At least she could keep up with the members on stage.

Yeah, Giselle is a bit disappointing. It's especially glaring because aespa as a whole aren't that great at performing. To me, performing was never their strong suit, so it's disappointing to see Giselle not keep up with the other 3. At least when Lia messed up, the other members were extremely good.

Yeah I agree with your summary on this. I think Giselle can sing and dance to a decent standard and she has some skills that the other members don't have (language etc.) which DO help the group a lot.  I also think SM seems to have blurred the lines with the traditional member positions in aespa.

Such as Winter getting parts that should usually go to main vocalist Ningning, or Karina getting rap parts that should normally be given to Giselle. So that makes it seem more like Giselle isn't "pulling her weight" when really it's just down to SM's (sometimes weird) decision making when deciding who gets which parts.

I think Ningning has gotten a bad deal with this comeback for a similar reason, because Winter seems to have been given all the big vocal moments in Girls. Does that mean Ningning is not "pulling her weight"? No it doesn't.

I do really like Enhypen, however the constant running joke about Sunoo is getting weird. It's also the same three members doing it. I notice that Heeseung, Jake and (Mostly Jungwon though he has his moments) don't really participate in it. They all should not be participating, even if Sunoo is cool with the jokes then they should realize that the fans aren't. We're all sick of it.

They're really terrible people at this point, the constant attacking of this kid. And they've been doing it since iland. I honestly think it's them picking on the obvious gay kid - but they can't say that so they're fat shaming him when he's not even overweight.

this being my most listened shinee song of all time :dies: so random

Giselle is not the first and won't be the last idol to get dragged for a lack of talent. Her job is to perform, get better at it :michael:. Luckily she's in SM and not HYBE or JYPE so they will likely send her to classes. I see a talent glow up in her future.

About ENHYPEN - I still think people are doing the most about the "fatshaming." They're friends, they're joking.

This whole interaction. The “we sure did” is sending me.

Army needs to put their energy into streaming their faves. This is the side effect of BTS going hiatus, now army are jobless and gonna start randomly attacking female idols.
