I don't think she's being ridiculous right now, she's not gonna drop an album while pregnant and that makes sense. But yes, the album should've been ready when she said yes to the Super Bowl imo.

Rihanna still has the hype. When she comes back with a proper album, the GP will come in droves 

She wanted to separate the music from the brands. 

 

Fenty Beauty has her own target. Doesn't need Rihanna at all , right now. Fenty Beauty is very big. Savage x Fenty has her own fans . The same with Fenty Skin.

 

So what the point of not release the album to not damage her brands.

 

I think this is more an artistic question or personal . Maybe she want to release something as timeless and cohesive as Anti. And she think that she hasn't found that. 

Or she doesn't found something that motivate her to make an era .
