I'm guessing this is how TBHits has been producing these days...? Candy Paint has always sounded this way you describe to me, but listening to this new BB snippet on my earphones I'm not so sure this one can relate. Let's wait for the whole thing to judge. It could be maybe a more minimalistic production style (WS has etheral production but it's minismalistic too I'd say)

But yeah, I'm def not writing off the song from an LQ ten second snippet. Very possible the HQ version sounds fuller, or maybe it doesn't but the rest of the song is better. That annoying autotuned male vocal will uh... definitely take some time for me to get used to regardless though

I think the voice you're hearing is starrahs. Just like wild side , it seems like she has vocals on the track (which i enjoy). I find that her adlibs make the song super fun.

Try listening with headphones ! It's automatically an ear worm. It truly heightens the listening experience. And the snippet isn't HQ so maybe that's why it sounds off putting to you right now but once it's actually available for consumption maybe it will grow on you, if not I'm sure she'll have something on there for everyone

It's indeed Starrah. She also has a verse towards the end of the song

 Ahhhh , i knew it! Mani and starrah make an amazing duo. I love when starrahs adlibs or when her voice can be heard throughout the song. I enjoy when an artist and their main producer have that special connection. The songs always turn out great because of that. Super excited.

Now please she's LITERALLY sanging in the 1:59 snippet, vocals on vocals. Makes sense why she wants to release that before releasing a bop if that's how the fans are going to behave. 

 

And this BB snippet is just 100% Normani for me what I've been waiting for her to give us. I can see the video. I can see the choreo. I can see the vision. 

 

If 1:59, Rocket, BB and the other one are examples of what we're about to get. I'm all in, babes

I will refrain to listening to any type of snippet (other than 1:59) unless Normani shares that there's a different song coming as well.

 

I do wish her team is a bit more active on the socials. She should totally go hard with posting the next two weeks (at least before Taylor takes away all the attention on the 19th). Beyoncé is probably why its silent right now, but let's start getting the ball rolling tomorrow and onward!

Today might've been the day I noticed the biggest gain in usage of the Candy Paint audio in TikTok (not very expressive but steadily), and now she's promoting on Instagram too. We love to see it

I wonder if Normani will do the candy paint dance challenge. I understand if she doesn't want to if she feels it will take attention from 1:59 but I feel like it will help candy paint gain momentum quicker.

More people are doing the CP challenge vs. the 1:59 one. I hope they make CP a single too. It deserves single treatment.
