I’m feeling confused. I don’t understand their strategy of revealing the album name and cover and teasing a snippet only to go radio silent…I’m still somewhat optimistic that we’ll be hearing something again very soon! I’m thinking a single has to come out on either 3/15 or 3/22!

@QueenofCopyPaste did anything change on her teams front or are the dates still accurate ? Are they just coming with everything at once lol

Now we have Camila on her heels. With what looks to be a TikTok centric single too bad she supposedly signed with Republic and their under UMG. So depending on fast or how the beat sounds she’s relying on radio. Normani has to get it together either you’re releasing or you not? Like can we get some more teasing? Some more interaction. A live ain’t going to cut especially since everyone is releasing on top of each other.

Normani has nothing to worry about because that girls new song sounds like trash. Everyone is already getting on her about biting off of Charli xcx & being inauthentic. Then on top of that interscope is under UMG so she can’t promote it on tik tok.

Maybe post some BTS pics/videos of the album shoot, tease some of other snippets from the album, post content, just do something lol it's been 2 weeks. What they need to get is that we've been starved for 2+ years we're not in place to keep waiting and waiting. They started the era, they need to keep it going...   what's the point of "announcing" an album if you're not going to do anything with it?

Y’all say that now but the song literally sounds like it was MADE for TikTok. I think depending on the whole song it may gain some traction on TikTok but TikTok plays will ultimately hampered. Also, from what I’ve been hearing her label Interscope (meant to say that instead of Republic) is pushing her to get her back in the public eye. Hence why they are releasing this first instead of the rumored Drake collab. 
 

I think to me If a song is catchy enough it will do good on TikTok either way because many people just pitch the song a couple octaves higher and speed it up. I’m not necessarily scared but I want Normani to stay in the public eye and not fade in the background right before she announces something.

I personally don’t mind the waiting for a single. However, I don’t think it’s smart to let people sit too long especially when you’re just starting to get the public’s attention again. Especially when you have 3 of the biggest female artists releasing back to back like this. Also, we have JB, Harry, Zayn, Drake and The Weeknd releasing as well. I don’t need too many snippets but I think a tease of certain lyrics maybe a guess of who will be featured on the album could boost engagement. 

FInally announcing the album and coverart then going radio silent for 2 weeks is such a Normani thing kjjjj

Look…the gp doesn’t care for that girl anymore, especially since the veil was lifted and her racist ways/weirdo personality have been brought to the forefront. She’s an afterthought to me and many.

 

It’s Normani’s time & she has nothing to worry about because what’s for her will always be for her. We see proof of that with Victoria Monèt & Coco Jones—both were shelved/told their time wouldn’t come for years but they both just won Grammys/industry recognition.
