Yeah I’m kind of agreeing with all of this sadly like … of course if she was gonna announce anything for sure announce the album but. Where’s the single? Surely they have a plan and concrete dates because if this is still pending a green light from RCA then I’d rather her just keep the announcements until she knows for sure. Hoping none of this is the case and they’re just warming us up with an album releasing regardless of single performance

The girl finally got her album announcement and her team together & that’s still not enough for y’all. If you are a pop girlie, Normani isn’t gonna be the artist for you lmao. She’s always done alternative/contemporary R&B with a dash of pop. She has the voice for R&B and there’s longevity in R&B. 
 

What separates her from other artists is that she can actually perform & move like a pop star, while the mic is on. The other R&B girlies (her age) can’t really do that. Hell the top pop girlies can’t even do that.

There's so many layers to me, and I don't really like to restrict myself or feel confined to just sticking to one particular genre because that's just not...I wouldn't be fair to myself. Normani can do whatever she wants but, she knows how representative and important she is for the pop music as a dark skinned black woman. The reason why people like to segregate her into the R&B category is just because she is black. Like she couldn’t be pop enough.

I’m not putting her in an R&B box because she’s black lol. I’m black too & I know how racist the industry is towards black artists. I said what I said because going off of what she’s released thus far, it’s R&B with pop, even experimental R&B (waves). The only pop song she’s ever released was motivation & she hated that song. 
 

If people are expecting a “…Baby One More Time” then they’re gonna be disappointed. She’s more in the vein of “I’m A Slave 4 U” which is literally dance pop/r&b. That’s all I was saying.

Yeah I think the single is coming next week which is 3/15 and then the album in April though I wouldn't mind a May release for the album either.

It’s giving 3/15. Normani is still finishing her album though. I feel confident enough to say, there won’t be a single drop until the album is basically 99% or 100% done. 

 

They were still choosing songs as of a week and a half ago as we saw lol. Once Normani pops out, Lydia will be booking her all over so there won’t be any time to work on the album. It needs to be basically done. 
 

EDIT: I think they’re 95% done with the album btw. Any additional songs are just cherries on top not reconstructing it from scratch.

No. We just haven't gotten a work out video from her trainer from a while. Pretty sure she has never stopped
