Anyone who liked Who's That Girl movie as much as me? I don't get the hate it received at the time of its release.

My whole Madonna kick recently was kind of inspired by my own mom. She hasn't been doing so well as of late, so I've been feeling nostalgic and thinking back to her listening to Live to Tell (her favo

I hope people come to respect her music and work. The craziness on twitter saying black people don't listen to madonna and her discopgrahy is worst than Celine and Whitneys and they have thousands of retweets.

Its like an alternate reality.

I have come to accept that she may never receive the flowers she deserves, not even after she's gone. And I am at peace with that, honestly. The general public's taste keeps getting worse and worse so Madonna not getting the appreciation she deserves is an indicator that her art is too complex for them, they simply don't have the range to even begin to understand it and that's completely ok. People get the arts and entertainment they deserve. All that matters to me right now is that her music (and craft in general) is available to me to enjoy and that she's still creating and pushing boundaries.  :fan:

The most annoying thing about Madonna is that every time she goes viral...she doesn't truly go viral for her music or herself.

Frozen: It was due to an illegal remix never released. Warner had to release it officially much later.

Back That Up To Th Beat: It was a never before released demo.

Like a Prayer (Deadpool): Completely ovrshadowed by Bye Bye Bye and its choreo.

Live To Tell: The intro was going viral a few weeks / months ago...just the intro. It was mostly the production going viral.

The only time she actually went viral it was due to...Material Girl. A song she hates, didn't write or produce :jonny6:

Still mad at myself for not going to this when I was in California in 2006

BTUTTB also didn't go viral with her voice or under her name.

I'm curious about the Bad Girl music video tea. When I was younger I thought those are scenes from a movie she played in but the mv was just supposed to be looking like that. I wonder where the idea for it came from

The Bad Girl music video is heavily inspired by the 1977 film Looking for Mr. Goodbar starring Diane Keaton.

I'd argue adding Erotica and Music in there too

I feel like I'm alone on this, but I never got into Like A Prayer. I don't see it on the same level as Confessions or Ray of Light.

For me LAP is bottom 3 with MDNA and Madame X.

I don't like anything about it except of title song.
