Its crazy we're talking about a song doing 10M+ daily on spotify charts, feels really strange. Life is full of surprises.

Since there's so much distance between the first single and the album release it's clear they are gunning for multiple hits. Whether they manage to achieve that goal is a different story but Gaga seems much more confident this time around.

I think as for the lead single (and I guess singles in general) they need to strike a balance between commercial appeal but also something that is quintessentially Gaga and doesn't get lost in the mix. As someone else said and I agree, an anthemic chorus is a must. The visuals are also incredibly important to get the song going, in my opinion. Both SL and PI lacked a great chorus that makes you sing along and noteworthy visuals (SL mv in particular was so beneath her standarts, it's insane). I guess even if the lead doesn't work out they have some surefire collaboration planned for later on (probably The Weeknd), but I'd really love to see this era starting off on the right foot, and for a Gaga solo song to shine.

They had a lot of time to plan and since she's feeling so inspired there really is no excuse this time around. I'm somehow confident and nervous simultaneously.
