Critics would absolutely demolish her if she released that album. This fandom would go after the lazy house drop of Used to Know Me and the bad sample use on Beg for You if there was a single Bloodpop credit. 

Crash is a meeting point between Charlie's hyperpop material and her more commercial side. Songs like Lightning and Crash have genuinely pretty left-field production that is more unique and experimental than anything Gaga has done in years. That's honestly just a fact. And Joanne is probably Gaga's most basic, watered down, weakly put together album ever. 

 

And tbh, are the worst beat drops or samples in Crash worse than the royalty-free beats for Free Woman or Fun Tonight? Hell, at least Beg For You borrowed from something more unique like UK garage and not basic 2012 EDM. I love Chromatica, but it at its worst has genuinely pretty uninspired production.

 

 And yeah, not every song on Crash would work specifically for Gaga, but the futurist approach to the nostalgia wave would be highly appreciated by critics regardless of who did it. And the argument that critics wouldn't like it for Gaga doesn't make much sense when it was already marketed as a sellout album by one of the most forward-thinking artists in music currently, that's something critics have historically slammed. Just ask Liz Phair.
