The term dated just doesn’t make sense when talking about music. Popular music nowadays is heavily influenced by music from the 80s. The 80s were 40 years ago, does that make Blinding Lights dated? No, of course not. Eventually, throwbacks from the 2000s will be popular again. That’s just how pop music works. People screaming “dated” just want to say something negative about the record, but are too lazy or not knowledgeable about music enough to come up with anything constructive

Or, like me, use the word dated inapproprietely due to lower English skills.

The term "dated" on this forum is mostly and exclusively used against Gaga's music in a negative connotation to try to paint it as unlistenable. It's a boring and untrue narrative, so whatevs. She very clearly and demonstrably has some of the strongest recurrent streams among 00s discographies and that has them hella bothered which is why hoes mad  :sleep:
