People in here are upset that Gaga's performing at the biggest event on the planet? Regardless of the material, we should all be hyped. Not everyone is granted such an honor, it's a huge deal. If you wanna stan a basic pop tart, Katy is right there. She could use the support these days.

although I'm content with a jazz duet with Celine (I guess), I don't disagree! 

 

it's a shame that the fan base is so split these days. so many really hate when she doesn't do club music (or trashes anything that doesn't sound like top 40 pop), but others really think that she can't get acclaim or respect unless she performs in a "stripped back" manner when on piano. why can't she do both and get accolades accordingly? 

 

At least everyone outside of this base understands this is history in the making and is pumped for this momentous occasion. Legends only

Come to think of it, i feel like gaga probably reached out to celine after watching her documentary. I bet she has been keeping in contact with her behind the scenes considering she has a habit of taking on the role of nurse to aging stars. I think it will be a cute moment, celine is a legend and we should honestly be happy with the good promo it will get.

This has probably been months in the making. I'm sure Gag and Celine are well acquainted and in touch

This! I have no problem with her doing whatever she likes, she is incredibly talented in both worlds but she keeps doing the same thing and only the same thing. She could be acclaimed as both a jazz hac cover queen and an avant-garde pop star. She's a legend; how many times does she have to prove it by singing 40s songs?
