I'm pretty sure Katy Perry's new single won't be a big hit, but it won't be a disaster either (given her abysmal level over the last few years).

If Meghan Trainor managed to have another hit last year thanks to TikTok, it's not impossible for Katy either, I wouldn't write off the possibility, when this fanbase acts so sure about the success or the underperformance of a certain thing, it often backfired.

For me, it's impossible that the music in the snippet at the end of the chromatica ball is the lead single.
You wouldn't wait months to release a single after unveiling its extract (even if it's 6 seconds).
It's either an album track or a singing intro/interlude.
