That Tarantino's movie sounded so weak and uninteresting plot wise, something Pablo Larrain would do, I can see why he dropped that project.

It's also apparently being released by Searchlight (which got Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain, and Olivia Colman their (latest) Best Actress Oscars and Frances McDormand her last two Best Actress Oscars). I'm calling it now, she's going to be the biggest competition. Way more than Angelina and Zendaya will be, at least. Amy has one of the biggest overdue/robbed/snubbed narratives in Hollywood aside from Glenn Close, a studio that knows how to win Best Actress Oscars (5 of the last 7 were from Searchlight films), and probably a great performance too. Let's hope Warner kicks it into high gear during Awards Season (I have no doubt Gaga's performance is going to be great).

Gaga needs to do smaller grassroots types of campaign. Get in front of voters and peers. I used to work in publicity for an indie film company and these types of efforts made such a big difference for us. Might be different with a big studio, though. Idk
