Lady Gaga

This is part 1 of the Lady Gaga discussion.

The Stupid Love video (along with the single visuals) were clearly references to b-movies and low budget sci-fi movies and tv show, esp Japanese ones. Think like Power Rangers, Godzilla, Gundams. The problem was that it looks just a little bit too cheap. Like it feels like it just kinda tips over the edge of being genuinely cheap and not just a reference to something historically cheap. It kinda feels like a home movie tbh, the way the camera is placed doesn’t feel professional, it feels like someone grabbed a spur of the moment video

The actual outfit is very pretty. She ruined it by adding that unnecessary kindness punk leather jacket and the headpiece.

I may not have the first single from LG7 and Richy is still wreaking havoc on Gar's hip, but at least I know she likes chopped cheese. :giraffe:

I'm so glad someone else noticed it. I picked it up as a fan of Godzilla films. She's always been inspired by the science fiction genre. I'm convinced she's obsessed with Alien given how she's referenced it all the way back in TFM.

To spice up the conversation here, let's rank Gaga alien props.

1. Fame Monster anglerfish

2. Enigma robot

3. Mother GOAT

4. Petga

The choreography is a**.

Her dancing was at an all time low.

Crooked shoes.

The CGI looks cheap.

The fashion choices were in fact choices (Nicola really lost his touch)

It's shoot on an iPhone.

The whole tribe concept is cheesy.

The only thing that I really liked, a part from Chromatica I at the begging, was the "All I ever wanted was love" hand movement.

Thank God she redeemed herself with 911.

Ranking her songs that are 3:36 long :jonnycat:

1. LoveGame

2. Black Jesus + Amen Fashion

3. Shallow

4. Let's Do It

You know what...I never thought of this but you're absolutely right. I never hated the video but I appreciate it a hell of a lot more now. :clap3: It totally makes sense seeing that the visuals for the era were very sci-fi coded.

Can't wait to come back to this thread in 2030 and remember how before the LG7 announcement the base was filled by endless Stupid Love discussions. :ahh:

It’s brave of you to think LG7 will be announced before 2030

I would love a long album title tbh.. Give us at least 4 words!

Something like Awake, Aware and Alone In the Streets of Topeka, Kansas? :coffee:

I missed the lead single talk but nothing compares to the disappointment of hearing PI premiere on the radio for the first time. I refuse to believe anyone listened and said "wow I want to listen again!"

Mind you, I like PI now but as a lead it STINKS. Especially in the 2016 music landscape. Who wanted to hear that **** when the year had Sorry, Work, and Closer actual ear worm BANGERS.

PIss >>>>>>>>>> STUPID love

And I'm one of those PIss haters, but SL is just :rip:

Literally the only bads songs on both albums as the lead singles :skull:
