And this is really what made Gaga's 2022 snub so shocking: she was the only actress that year to hit all four precursors. These past two years have had other actresses (Stone and Mulligan this year, Blanchett and Yeoh last year). She also had that trifecta win. In the week between the BAFTA and Oscar noms, she was largely seen as win-competitive.

Cruz & Stewart had the better campaign vehicle, see both Viola & Deadwyler last year (w whom i garner Danielle likely had better passion than Gár in HOG but still got short-ended)

Gaga playing a villain role already dimmed any of my personal expectations for Best Actress next season, even if she's starring in a huge film.

 

I just want the film to be good.

During the campaign and come out a lot of people said Gucci would be lucky to Score any Oscar’s, that it was a globes film,  Cruz support was not being accounted for, along with Gaga not winning anything just noms. There were bad signs and good, I think Kidman deserved the snub in 2022 based on film and performance

I wouldn't say joke (sometimes their choises are very questionable, that's for sure), but I overall agree with your argument, it won't be the Oscar nomination to legitimate Gaga's work in JFAD, like it wasn't for HOG, it will be a plus if it happens, but an overall good reception of the performance-movie + box office are the goals.

 

This time, if she happens to be nominated at various precursors, I won't count the nomination until it will be pronounced, no matter what

wouldn’t categorize Harley as the same as Gucci or Theron’s performance of Wuornos. she’s more like chaotic netural - leaning more to the villain side, but with some kind of muted sense of decency that occasionally shines through.  at the end of the day, it all boils down to which direction Todd leans more towards

So... back in GGD there's a thread about LG7 title/theme. And a member mentioned this vibe as their wish for the album. Something somber, eerie, cosmic, related to celestial bodies.

 

I think that would be quite cool? Going back to TCB interludes, they are really different from the aesthetics of the era. I wish she would dig more into them. What do you think?

I think the reason Chromatica Ball's visuals were so different from the era is that by the time the tour actually had a chance to start after delays, Gaga was likely already in a different artistic state of mind. And she's likely already shifted again for LG7. 

 

Somber and eerie visuals would be cool, though. As a astrology enthusiast, I'd love for her to do more with celestial bodies beyond Venus.

Everyone is gonna be so gagged when Gaga serves a Black Swan tea in Joker II, the academy will have no choice but to nominate her
