Babylon and Enigma offer the pop-jazz-house blend I'd love to see her do for an entire album. They were some of the biggest highlights of Chromatica while being some of the least dance/house-centric songs on the album.

I totally agree, both songs are masterpieces, I will never get the hate for 'Chromatica' when it has gems like those two.

Tea. The best songs on Chromatica are ironically the ones that went beyond pure house and flirted with other genres (911, Replay, Babylon, Enigma, etc.)

That time sucked because of the media and public backlash but at least we had content to remaind excited about. Album announcement, Applause, DWUW, promo, G.U.Y., Muppets Special, Cheek to Cheek, etc.

2023 would have been Gaga's first year in her career where we didn't receive any content had it not been for Sweet Sounds of Heaven. This era of combined radio silence and ad spamming has been theee worst time to stan and I've been around since 2008.

The ARTPOP wait is literally so overrated, what was so bad about it? The gap from the last BTWB show to the Applause release was just a few months.

The content was there but she was in a horrible place getting high with Tara all of the time. She almost quit pop music after that experience.

 

Not to mention it followed her wheelchair era and weird promo for the fame perfume. It was an absolute disaster and she almost didn't make it out.

 

So nah, I'll take happy Gaga singing Jazz in Vegas over whatever tf was going on after the BTW era lol.
