I loved the cinematography. It was very different from her previous videos to fit the Midwestern vibe.

Honestly i would have preferred to hear  her sing more

I think I like the 5 minute edit a little better. Her vocals are so crisp. Crazy how it was literally done during an impromptu jam session. 

For me the 5 min edit is much more enjoyable. The song goes nowhere/there’s no real changes so the 7 min version is kinda too long for me. 

I think i didn't enjoy her voice at first listen because i didn't use earphones, and I thought she sounded bad, or maybe i was drunk cause the song hits hard with earphones

Honorable mention: Born This Way. Would have made it if it didn't have that long intro, as much of a slay as it was. It probably would have had double the amount of views without the intro as well.

Oh my lord I completely forgot about Joanne when making my own list  Changes errythang

 

I rewatched You and I and still feel similarly. Lots of great ideas but it suffers from 'everything but the kitchen sink' syndrome. Every single outfit is a slay but it feels a bit too scattered. I'd put it at a similar tier as Marry the Night

The Joanne era was a big step down visually for Gaga tbh. I'm hoping LG7 really re-establishes her as a visual artist and music video icon. They really should get Norbert Schoerner to shoot the LG7 cover like he did for Chromatica because he is a genius:

Is this other work by the guy who shot the Chromatica cover? It is, nostalgia aside, her best album cover by far. 

 

Million Reasons has to be her worst music video now that I think about it. When it came out it felt like Gaga was 100% over the persona she debuted as. John Wayne is pretty decent though, it's a shame it made literally no waves in the aftermath of her impeccable Superbowl performance.  

 

I do respect the whole 3-part series they tried to do with PI-MI-JW music videos, but it just didn't work at all.
