I disagree. 

Replay is GODLY, catchy,  unique, clever, and not cringe at all.

I really don't care about the commercial aspect, but there's no way it would've done worse than SL.

Worst case scenario, she would've flopped with dignity and quality but I really doubt it considering that any lead single was bound to debut decently thanks to ASIB. 

I really don't wanna hate on SL anymore but it wasn't lead material.

I hope we get more outtakes one day. I remember when Gaga did an interview where she had lavender hair and she said she is inspired by monsters and that the lavender hair was the look of new era. This was around the time she recorded So Happy I Could Die too. I wish she had worn the lavender more throughout the era but she did bring it back for this performance

 

 

Replay is NOWHERE near as cringey, dated, bad, and annoying as SL.

Exactly, you have no evidence either way. We only know how Stupid Love performed and we can assume any other song released under the same circumstances would perform similarly 
 

Like yea, if Replay was the lead single and it didn’t leak months before its release and it debuted with an expensive dark video like Bad Romance, it may have done better than Stupid Love. But that is totally rewriting history. 
 

Which makes it annoying when people are like, “Chromatica would have charted in the top ten for 50 weeks if x and y happened”. It’s all negative fantasies. Wishing that if one thing was different everything would be different today

The only way this gets pushed back is if the strike lasts until the summer... and if it does, the industry will have far bigger problems than whether or not J:FaD keeps that date. The whole industry will be DONE. I imagine the strike will end by Winter... at the latest. For the good of all parties involved.

 

As of now, Joker 2 is WB's only DC release in 2024. It's strategically placed in a good release date so that it can be premiered in later summer festivals and also a window that has proven good for BO as well as awards season. They really have no reason to be worried about moving it as they're likely aiming for a 6-month promo campaign, so the earliest we could get a first trailer is April. 

Replay sounds like a third single.

SL should remain a lead, but it should've had a better MV.

I mean for a leaked song it did good, hadn't it been leaked before the release, it would have been a #1 debut for sure.

This feels true as well. It has a classic and iconic feel to it a la Bohemian Rhapsody and Thriller  Stupid Bomb stans will continue to suffer.

I think Replay performing relatively better than other non-single songs in Chromatica shows that there was/is interest in the song and it would probably perform better than SL.
