Right? Truly dodged a bullet. I still haven't seen TLM but I'm also glad we're past those "Gaga should play Ursula!!!!!" days.   Or Sue Storm  

 

As messy as HOG was, so far every role she chose is really great imo. Her acting projects have been diverse. I'm pretty sure we'll start hearing more "ASIB and JFAD are both musicals! She's sticking to music-leaning roles!" takes as soon as the trailer drops, but they are not even conventional musicals and both couldn't be more different from each other.

Yeah Disney live actions have not been the Tea lately, she truly dodged a bullet with no accepting those.

 

HOG will remains the best choice she could have done after ASIB in that period, especially with managing to filming it and releasing it during Covid, she has just been unlucky with missing the Oscar nomination, but the rest of industry still recognized her her performance which is the most important thing.

 

I hope she will continue to work in prestige projects avoiding Marvel and Disney crap, but I'm sure she will, I personally would like to see her working with Nolan or Scorsese and maybe doing a rom comedy if she has the time.

I would love to see her work with those names too. Nolan is one of my fave directors but he doesn't have a good track record with female characters tbh.   Lanthimos, Aronofsky, Aster, and Villeneuve are the ones on my wishlist for now. I hope she also starts pumping out more than 1 film every 3 years. *manifesting*

Yeah the possibilities are a lot for her, there are so many good directors out there, including women, it would be interesting see her working with a woman eventually since she tends to collab with older men mostl, also I would like to see her work with the Daniels, she would fit perfectly with their crazy over the top (in positive way) ideas.

Gaga has always been smart and professional from this point of view, she has always kept her personal life very private, rightfully and proving that celebrities can still do that in social media era, to the point we didn't even know if she was still together with Michael and I personally prefer her to be this way instead of be all out about her personal life and sharing everything on social media like others do in a way I don't like.

 

I'm still in the old school mind where I prefer celebrities to be mysterious and private like in the past, than posting continuosly on social media, I might be in the minority but I really appreciate her to be this private nowadays, also because when she appears to an event it feels more an event indeed.

I'm very sure these are in fact hair extensions and her scalp can breathe. I applaud performers who can wear a wig for hours on end while sweating.

Yasss Daniels and Maggie Gyllenhaal are definitely some names I'd like to see her work with.

In a way she's somewhat inspired me to relook at the way I use social media. I personally only post about major life events. The general idea of posting about every waking moment of your life, whether one is a celeb or not, is cringeworthy.

 

I loved the mystique Gaga had at the very early stages of her career and, lack of content aside, I'm happy she's bringing that mystique back.
