Also Gaga’s name is going to be in the 2025 awards season race no matter how it all shakes out in the end. At worse she will have a Margot Robbie in Babylon type run. She can’t be in the Top 5 every time but it’s certainly not delusional to say even this far out it’s possible based on her already strong precedent and how Joaquin’s Joker swept with voters even with the film polarising critics, it being a superhero villain movie from the director of the Hangover series, the character already having an Oscar winning portrayal in recent memory etc etc 

 

I would also say with the films emphasis on acting performance and New Hollywood inspiration over being an out and out spectacle like Dune, it’s still more likely to premiere at film festivals than not (I’m still kinda surprised about Part 2 skipping, although that might have something to do with the more constrained time frame on making the sequel meaning that VFX / post-production will need all the time they can get).

Yeah, and there's already talk about Dune possibly not even being fully done until it's release. J:FáG should be done first half of next year even if post takes over a year.

I just want the movie to be a box office smash, one of the reasons she got the role in Joker2 is because HOG and ASIB did good numbers. She can always win another oscar later. We can already see her acting keeps getting better with each project.

People said speculated the similar things about HoG and she didn't do one. If J:FaD has original music, that's great and it will likely be to advance the story. If it doesn't, then it doesn't. 

 

At the end of the day, studios want big ticket wins. Original Song would be a relatively low priority for most films. They have bigger fish to fry.

Where are the receipts? How is it clear? We almost have no official information about this movie 

JFAD will obviously be a movie that's for the arts, not the charts.

 

I feel like people will consider her pretentious again when it's released (since this is what Joaquin Phoenix is known for), so she needs to make sure she get's back on the GPs side again with a fun, safe, HAC route

Watching some of Joaquin’s press interviews for Joker, I hope miss man has an eloquent answer prepared for when she inevitably gets asked about the violent controversy in the media about Joker

They are definitely going to submit Joker as a Drama at the GG. Musical/Comedy is for lighter fare, not dramas with musical sequences.
