Well PF is currently getting more daily streams than BR but BR has more streams overall, i guess we'll see but i think they'll reach 1B around the same time, maybe PF will reach it sooner if it continues to get more daily streams.

The Globes also have a final say in category placement, JFAD is definitely going to be drama like the first one, they said already it's a drama with musical scenes.

There was no fraud, ASIB was in the right category, Musical/Comedy is for traditional musicals or comedies, ASIB was a drama in first with music elements.

Eh, it was a straight drama with some diegetic musical numbers. It could've gone either way

 

I do think that they'll go Comedy/Musical for J:FáD depending on how prominent the musical aspect is.

Thank you so much for this explanation! I know Rain On Me is doing good on radio still, but who cares, both songs are huge and are bigger on streaming than on the radio (YouTube for Bloody Mary is insane).

Things have changed from those years, now even music biopic goes to drama category, see 'Elvis'.

 

The studio submit the category, the Golden Globes have a final say to that however.

 

JFAD is not going to comedy-musical, unless they make the whole movie a traditional musical and they stated already it won't be.

 

(In the Heights is a traditional musical).
