I don't think so actually, in a world so politically divided, a movie about Barbie breaking female stereotype might not do that well. It could pull off the theme and still attract many viewers, but it could also backfire and most people on the opposite side of politics won't watch it.

Also, Greta is not a proven blockbuster director, she is an great artsy director but we don't know how well she can handle the crowd pleaser aspect of a blockbuster. The first trailer gonna make or break this film I think.
