The only thing we do know is the AMPAS CEO going on record about wanting her to attend and trying to arrange a performance. She did acknowledge the nom too. We don't know what her schedule looks like, whether she has any off days earmarked, what kind of negotiations and dialog is taking place behind the scenes, all that and rest is up for speculation. And even though it's just T-8 days, they can still announce it early next week if they want to. Personally, I think she should attend. The Oscars aren't just a celebration of the biggest cinematic achievements of the year but also a networking event and schmoozefest. She's an esteemed member of the Academy herself. Better to attend, generate some quick buzz (with her first high-profile red carpet appearance in months!), perform, enjoy the ceremony and lose graciously than a complete no-show. And if she can find a way to attend when she isn't even nominated then there is little reason not to when she actually is, especially when she's a part of a widely-seen BP nominee.
