That time they have been "preventive" in doing that, but even in that case if she would have not adressed that, it wouldn't have compromised her Oscar race, Gaga will always have detractors and haters no matter what that try to sabotage her, last year backlash was even bigger Oscar wise and for what? Just for being passionate about her work and say that she studied acting in high school, like..

 

Also Tom Cruise can be considered problematic for his Scientology stuff, and yet other than getting 6 Oscar nominations (his movie), they treated him like a Divinity at the Oscars luncheon.

Yeah I wasn't really impressed. I'm all for clean minimalistic visuals like the interludes from the Chromatica Ball or ARTPOP Inez and Vinoodh fashion film but this ad felt like something she's done before. I'm surprised people are saying it's better than her music videos because 911 (her last video) is probably her most creative music video to date.
