Her genre-hopping is what saved her career and has given it great longevity, though. She can further develop/refine her dance pop and jazz sounds over the long run but versatility is the Lady Gaga brand.

 

It's also pretty fun not being able to predict what she's going to do next sonically.

Do we know when Ariana recorded Rain On Me? I’m really curious to know how the album sounded at that time…was Burns already part of it?

Yes about it saving her from ARTFLOP but I think it’s time to stop skimming the surface of every “genre” she jumps to. She should dive deep and make something different. The techno jazz suggestions are exactly something that only she can make and would be a great direction to go into.

ROM was definitely done in second half of 2019, I don't think it would have appearead if the album was released this early, the same for 'Sour Candy'.

 

There were also reliable rumors the album was set to be launched in late 2018 initially with the Vegas Residency, a month after the ASIB movie and soundtrack release since they weren't expecting both to smash that hard, she definitely had different material ready, she recorded like 100 songs-demo for this project.

So Rain On Me might have been a solo song at the time produced by Bloodpop and BN like most of the album.

 

The Residency album is not Chromatica, it’s another album she started working with DJWS (the one she speaks about on Gaga Radio)…

 

The tracks that were on the OG Chromatica album for sure are

That’s the standard for Gaga…Chromatica was the only album that was finished over 3 months before it’s original release date.

Nope, you're missing and mixing pieces, by that time she was already in the studio with Bloodpop from more than a year and the Residency is also called 'Enigma'.

The demo version of Stupid Love is quite nice and I prefer the leaked demo bits to the original, so perhaps a 2019 Spring'd Stupid Love wouldn't have gone as bad.. maybe? But I guess Stupid Love's mediocrity was inevitable.
