Unstoppable was another old *ss song that went fadvral that never got on TTH either, we forget about that.

 

Sia's label did release a remixes EP if i remember correctly and it became a HAC smasha.

I might be wrong but I feel that Spotify is a lot more stringent and particular about what they put on TTH owing to its younger userbase than AM (which just put BM at a very good #20 on Today's Hits UK, their equivalent of Hot Hits UK). They put a lot of emphasis on the word today and newer material and the editors curate it around that and are hesitant to put catalog songs on there, RUTH being a major exception obviously. But the whole thing is kinda funny because she has a better relationship with Apple but performs worse there compared to Spotify where her stats are much better

I would die if FAD can release such a smooth, soothing City Pop song like what Brave Girls did.

 

Blasting this song at night, driving your car with the wind on your face is so transcendental.

 

A city pop influenced album track is already enough. We don't need a whole album of that. Unless she can make a masterpieceful city pop album and secure a whole city pop lover niche, but I highly doubt it...

 

I want a DARK album ala BTW, not Chromatica type of dark hunny. An album full of The Edge of Glories and Electric Chapels with Brooklyn Nights-level lyricism would be her magnum opus, but less '10 dated EDM beats and more instruments like electric guitars and drum and atmospheric synths.

Spotify try to be more based on algorithms, but it’s also true they have come out and outlined who their flagship artists are ( Dua, Blackpink). AM are a lot more open to relationships and putting on a song if a label asks. Spotify also has a younger led demographic, that’s why now Gaga songs go viral on TikTok their best format is Spotify. Spotify also LOVES dance-pop, they find any excuse to playlist uptempo songs, AM is more rap inclined

If there's one thing that you should know by now stanning Gaga all these years is that she's NEVER going to do what everyone wants her to do next. She likes to subvert people's expectations of her as an artist, her image, her music and that's exactly what she's going to continue doing and what makes stanning her thrilling and exciting in the first place. There is no one best or worst take here. Not a single one. Everyone has different tastes and preferences and what they personally want from her and that's fine. It's all subjective based on your own biases but also, let's just say, confirmation bias is one helluva thing.

 

Also like, where's the nuance in discussions?  A ballad can be interesting and inspired the same way a dance track can be basic and insipid. Not everything is so black and white.

 

Anyway, I reeeeaally couldn't give two f*cks about what genre or theme or aesthetic LG7 is, she is talented enough to pull off almost anything that she wants to, as long as she fully believes in what she's creating and putting out because when she isn't it starts to reflect in her music too, and then she checks out of it and as a result the listener fails to connect and checks out as well. 

 

So yeah Gagz, follow your heart and gut and give us the masterpiece that you have always wanted to make legend! We'll be waiting, but don't make us wait too long we're STARVING mother
