OMG me too, I've been thinking about this yesterday, all their songs strangely sound timeless while the rest of Redone's productions all sound extremely dated :rip:

This site loves to drag TF for sounding 'dated', but if you compare it to a lot of electropop from that time, it honestly stands out and has aged comparatively well.

I still couldn't care less about her reuniting with RedOne, I just want her to have more involvement in the production for her next dark bop pop album.

Yep! And I also really want a dark pop album, something in the vibe of Alejandro, BM, GH, HML, SHICD and Replay :jonny:

Is this the least we’ve ever known about an upcoming project? Do we even think she’s wrote or recorded anything for LG7? 2 and a half years post-Joanne we definitely knew she was recording stuff with Boys Noize and BloodPop etc. right?

I’m kinda scared we won’t get it till like late 2024/25. At least with Joanne we had ASIB 2 years later. I miss the days of pop girls releasing albums and touring like every 2 years without fail. They’ll obviously want to tour the album as well so Chromatica Ball being so recent only adds to my fears as well.

Also I don’t know if it’s just cause I’m older but the fact it’s nearly been 3 years since Chromatica and I’m not like itching for a new album but the wait between ARTPOP and Joanne was 3 years and that felt extremely painful. Imagine she released at the rate of Taylor…

Weren't there rumors last year about HOG inspiring her to write italo disco songs?

I've been saying this as well. There is no way people think songs like Paparazzi and Summerboy sound dated :deadbanana4:

I still wonder how Chromatica would have been received if SOPHIE stayed as the main producer and the album was hyperpop but more subtle so its not too abrasive for the GP. Would she have succeeded with introducing it to the mainstream?

I don't think she has worked on anything new related to a possible new album, like you said we would have known in a way or another, if she has been in the studio in the last year, it was definitely only for JFAD stuff, we're truly ahead of the biggest drought ever when it comes to Gaga releases. We're gonna be lucky for a 2025 release at this point.

I think Starstuck is the only dated song on The Fame :rip: But I still love it

Didn't they only record one song together? :weeps: The one that samples a car

I want electric guitars, '80s inspired dark synths and lots of leather for the next era

BloodPop: We worked with SOPHIE very early on. [She was] the first collaborator of those sessions. Those days were fun. We set up six microphones and recorded [Gaga's] Lamborghini exhaust, and SOPHIE cut it up into samples. [Though they didn't make the album], we still plan to finish those songs and present something special within the Chromatica universe.

So BloodPop still was the main producer of the album... damn she really need to cut him loose :deadbanana4:

I can't believe we'll probably never get to hear these songs :deadbanana2: :deadbanana2: Imagine if SOPHIE remixed Out of Control for TFM's 10th anniversary :weeps:

and it was kinda obvious that she would go back to dance-pop.

How? :deadbanana4: ASIB's smashery hinted more towards a HAC album.

She would've never done that. Joanne and ASIB already both had a very AC feel to it, a 3rd album like that in a row wouldn't have worked, she doesn't like to repeat herself

From a commercial point of view, a HAC album made the most sense after ASIB.

I will NEVER forgive him for teasing the SOPHIE sessions now that it's clear those songs are never seeing the light of day

Not at all imo. I was talking about Joanna when she was hanging out with BloodPop on JWT and then Boys Noize. Some people had doubts that after ASIB smashed she would come back with an HAC'd album but that would have been so not her
