Lady Gaga

This is part 1 of the Lady Gaga discussion.

The way the girls are GAG–GING, shaking crying throwing up bc they're scared of her tours getting bigger and she's one of the few GLOBAL MPGs with real DEMAND to fill stadiums worldwide, especially Europe and LatAm. Gagz being a multi-talented LeGend is both a blessing and a curse.

Does anyone know how much artists generally take from total touring gross.

Between this, vegas, upcoming J:FAD coins, her advertisements, haus labs taking off. She has been making huge bank since ASIB.

Gaga successfully finishing the third all-stadium female tour in history (one of only three artists to do one) and stans of the other two artists are all mad that she has a seat at the table. :deadbanana:

Usually A-List acts like Gaga will take somewhere between 80-90% of the net gross. Once all expenses including production, marketing, venue hire, taxes, publishing companies (comes back to Gaga/songwriters pocket) and miscellaneous expenses are paid for the artist takes home the money that’s left. That’s then split between Gaga and her management (10-20%):chick1:

Yuck. Is it possible she leaves interscope for a label that appreciates her anytime soon or is she trapped in some album deal?

They are giving her full creative freedom so she won't switch label

For how much Interscope is trash and incompetent in managing her, at this point of her career would be kind of dangerous change label, artists changing label rarely managing to get more success than with their previous one, majority of times the opposite happens, she might find herself in a worse situation.

I think Interscope wouldn't let her leave, and I'm sure some negotiations happened during the renewal.

Something like, 'I hereby agree that Interscope and I won't promote my album", something like that.

circumstances will be different next time, there is and will always a promotional vehicle attached to a Gaga project she needs it to sell, don’t forget that this was her first pop album in streaming  era where promotion is different to what it was back from ARTPOP. SL/ROM we’re excellently curated and were  #1 on AirPlay for weeks WW; getting blackpink on was also a good move. SFA on the perfume advert. Also the VMAs 2020 was basically hers - looking back there was lots there it’s just it was botched.

She gets a lot of freedom with interfad, but I do think they’re bad at playing the tiktok game and the radio Payola game.

2020 delivered Rain On Me the ultimate exercise bop. It’s just a shame pride couldn’t happen at that time it’s have been perfect for it :cries:
