I think not original music works better for this kind of movie, also regardless the best actress Oscar, it's already an unexpected twist making this movie with musical scenes, new original music for this project would be hard to pull properly, it made sense for a movie like ASIB, but for this one the use of certain songs that are classics can be brilliant, it's like in 'Mouline Rouge' when they did a mash up of 'Diamonds are girl's best friends' and 'Material Girl'.
