First they said she couldn't get a hit, then Shallow happened, then they said she couldn't get a dance-pop hit then Rain On Me happened, then they said she couldn't get a solo hit then Abracadabra happened. Now it's a solo top 10 in the U.S. . It'll probably happen during LG8 era atp.

If she goes hard, and gives an Abracadabra, striking a balance between a classic EDM pop "gaga" sound and GP flair, she can get a hit outside of the US. 
 

This is where she is in her career, and that's okay. More than okay. Better than most lol
 

 

I learned that Gaga is at one of her best peaks (if not the best) considering 

• She's top 3 most relevant artists globally
• She's now seen as one of the most talented mainstream artists
• She's currently on the best tour of her career
• JFAD didn't damage her career; it speaks to how impeccable the damage control was and to her talent in mitigating the impact — any other popstar would have faded into oblivion.
• She's happy with her personal life
• She's at her best vocally

 

In addition to this, It's not Gaga's fault that her collaborations become classics. Most popstars don't even have solo songs that have that level of popularity; Gaga has more than 5 solo 

 

Her entire top 10 doing over 700k on a random Wednesday. Wow. Soooo great to see Papa rising every year, it deserves to be one of her recurrent 1M daily songs.

The Just Dance smashery is so incredible it feels like it's all about Poker Face and Bad Romance when it comes to her early smashes, and Gar herself put way more effort in the performances for these tracks on the tour and didn't even do JD at Coachella/Copacabana. One would think the song could end up being lowkey overshadowed because of that but it remains pulling amazing stats on its own, a generational classic.

And Garden!  We can't really complain about 300k daily, though. Specially for the album tracks. Really good numbers overall.

Disease: 40.606.103

TDD: 36.436.749

 

Basically, TDD is doing on par with Disease: Disease had a stronger debut, but TDD has a slightly better longevity.

 

However, Disease later got boosted by Abra, Mayhem, Coachella and Copacabana; while TDD will only get Halloween's boost which will be way more limited. Plus Disease has respectable recurrents because the fandom is streaming it due to it being a fan-favourite, which TDD won't have. Although I think TDD will have some recurrents from the GP (which Disease doesn't have).

 

All in all, everything is pointing out at TDD having similar streams and certifications as Disease, but with much lower chart-peaks.

 

The absolutely worst scenario would be TDD becoming the new The Cure or Stupid Love (below 70k/daily): ergo songs that aren't streamed neither by the fandom, nor the GP. But I hope it can at least become the new Hold My Hand (around 150k daily). The best scenario we can hope for is TDD becoming the new Rain On Me (around 250-300k/daily).

The Dead Dance is going #1 for a 3rd week on my Last.fm charts and that is the best outcome for me. If the GeePee doesn't like it, as well as this base to some extent, at least I'm at peace that I enjoy it even though it's not gonna impact chart-wise.

 

She got 4/4 perfect score with her choices for Mayhem out of me, which just solidifies why I have stanned her since 2008.
