It's easily a better album than ARTPOP, why are we even having these discussions

Honestly. I don't know why people think of Joanne in relation to ASIB when it exists as palette cleanser after the worst album of her career nearly ended it.  Joanne was a rebound from a career low as it proved she wasn't a total write-off to the public (MR) or the industry (Grammys) and could reinvent herself.

 

You'd think the "cult favourite" would be doing better than Joanne on Spotify, but it appears as though people prefer listening to the album that did nothing for her career.

Ironically, I listen to a lot more music that sounds like Joanne than Gaga's other albums. But it's half-baked and even comes off like Gaga is cosplaying as a character at times. ASIB soundtrack is literally an example of the quality Joanne could've been.

Joanne would’ve been better as an EP. It just doesn’t work as a full-fledged album.

Her Venice Film Festival 2018 look was scared, shaking, and throwing up on that day...but she came close.

The volumeless, stiff and amorphous wig, one eye having a higher cut crease than the other, the dress was also a terrible choice but i guess that was Nicola's fault or whatever.

It's not our fault that Gaga thought Japan is the whole Asia and always promote something there. I played MR to my friends and they loved it.

Tbh it kinda slightly eclipsed the Venice look for me as an overall look but the Venice one will always have great sentimental value attached to it. The  dress was just beautiful, one of the best dresses she's ever worn, the way it moved in the breeze as a garment. And there was thunder and her skin was glistening in the rain. And the horde of cameras and lights upon her. It was so, so special and there couldn't be a more perfect leading lady red carpet debut

 

Something shifted that night. A STAR really was born. It was HER night.
